What activity does Accountable2You monitor?
Accountable2You reports supported browsing activity, including private and Incognito browsing, along with apps used and general device activity.
Activity is reported in real time and organized chronologically, giving your partner a clear timeline rather than a delayed summary. Activity that matches a trigger word is flagged, and your partner can receive an immediate alert.
What does my accountability partner see?
Your accountability partner can view the activity reports you choose to share and receive alerts when activity matches your reporting settings. You can choose whether a partner receives full activity reports, alerts only, or reports from specific devices.
Can I have different partners for different devices?
Yes. You can invite unlimited accountability partners and assign them to specific devices. For example, you might choose your spouse for the home computer and a close friend for your phone.
Does Accountable2You take screenshots?
No. Accountable2You reports digital activity without capturing screenshots. This allows accountability partners to stay informed without being exposed to graphic or objectionable images—what we consider a form of second-hand pornography.
Does Accountable2You block or filter content?
No. Accountable2You is an accountability and reporting tool. It does not block websites or filter content. Instead, it makes digital activity visible so individuals and families can address concerns through honest conversation and trusted accountability.
Can I customize alerts and reporting settings?
Yes. You can adjust trigger words, alert sensitivity, time-monitoring settings, and other reporting preferences by device or profile. You can also limit the details recorded within selected sensitive applications, such as banking or medical apps.
Will my partner or parent know if the app is removed or disabled?
Yes. Accountable2You can alert the appropriate accountability partner or parent if monitoring is disabled or the app is removed. A device that stops reporting activity will also be clearly visible within the account.
How does the Family Plan work?
Parents manage the Family Plan and create profiles for their children.
Parents can view their children’s reports, manage each profile’s settings, and install Accountable2You on the devices being monitored. The app remains visible on each device and is designed to support open, informed accountability within the family.
What are time-monitoring alerts?
Time-monitoring alerts notify parents when device activity occurs during hours they have selected, such as overnight or during school hours. These settings can be adjusted separately for each child.
Can my child uninstall or disable Accountable2You?
Yes. Accountable2You does not prevent the app from being removed or disabled. If that happens, you will be alerted, and the device will stop reporting activity. The software is built to support transparency and accountability, not hidden or forced monitoring.
Can I customize what gets flagged?
Yes. You can add or exclude custom trigger words and adjust alert sensitivity for each device. Because innocent activity can sometimes trigger an alert, these settings help you tailor reporting to the concerns that matter most to you.
Can I hide sensitive apps, such as banking or medical apps, from my reports?
Yes. You can choose not to record activity inside selected sensitive apps. The report will still show that the app was opened and when, but it will not show what happened inside it.
Can I move Accountable2You to a new device?
Yes. If you replace a device or no longer use one, you can remove it from your account and use that installation on a new device.
Can I cancel my account at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription from your account’s billing settings at any time.
